LETTER FROM THE EDITOR

Having been an adopted child myself, I've always held an appreciation for those who chose life. Thanks to the generosity of my birth mother, I was able to grow up in a loving home, marry, and have five wonderful children of my own. Looking back upon my life, I see my Savior's hand time and again, leading me upon the path He'd designed for me.

But what if I had not been born? The question seems so simple on the surface, one that I had never considered deeply before this manuscript came into my hands. What if my mother, a woman so very young at the time, had chosen to not bring me into this world? What ramifications would such an act have had? Not only would my children not exist, but every life I have touched thus far wouldn't be quite the same. And you would not be reading this story in quite the same way you are now.

Perhaps this is the strongest thing I've taken away from this project. While someone else could do a thing in much the same way another can...the final effect will never be quite the same. We are all unique creations, designed to be just the way we are, by a loving God. And every last one of us is irreplaceable.

This has truly been a special project. I am thankful to Renee Maimone who let me share in her vision for a little while.

And as always, all thanks and honor to God the Father who guarded and protected me along the way.
